Labor's Community Service Agency is on the front lines of the Coronavirus pandemic with our safety net programs for working families unable to make ends meet due to temporary loss of income. We are ready to meet the evolving needs of our community head-on, and are confident that our network of unions will get us through this crisis.

REACH OUT TO YOUR UNION REP FOR THE MOST UP-TO-DATE RESOURCES AND INFORMATION!

LCSA is working with your Dislocated Worker Labor Liaison to get members timely, helpful information and resources for unemployment insurance filing,  job links, free programs and services, free resume writing and employment workshops, training opportunities, and much more.

We are continuing to partner with your locals, as well as the following agencies to navigate resources and understand the evolving needs of our networks. Here are a list of resources and policies we are working on to keep you safe in these times:

• Several major gas, power, water, and internet companies offer free service, suspend service disconnections, and waive late fees to support Oregonians dealing with coronavirus.

• LCSA is providing safety net funds for members unable to make ends meet due to Coronavirus-related labor reductions.

• The Oregon Employment Department has guidance, resources and unemployment benefits for members experiencing work changes.

• Multnomah County Chair Deborah Kafoury and Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler on Tuesday announced a moratorium on residential evictions and the expansion of a shelter system to support people experiencing homelessness.
