Referral Programs (Union Strike Funds)
LCSA may be able to administer a referral program to distribute strike fund support provided by your union. This can assist members with housing, utility, or food expenses.

Important Notes on Financial Assistance
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, LCSA must comply with IRS rules and regulations regarding restricted funds. LCSA’s Helping Hands hardship program cannot be used for direct financial assistance to members engaged in full, economic, or unfair labor practice strikes. Strike-related financial support can only be distributed using the

To strengthen preparation and response during a labor dispute, LCSA has developed additional tools for union leadership:

Union Acuity Matrix – A tool to help unions identify which members are at greatest risk of hardship and prioritize assistance accordingly.

If your union is preparing for or actively engaged in a labor dispute, please contact us as soon as possible. Early notification gives LCSA time to coordinate food support, resource navigation, and strike fund referral systems to stand in solidarity with your membership.
