WASHINGTON COUNTY
Rent Assistance Programs
211: You can call 211 to request to be added to their rent assistance waiting list or use their online database to search for rent assistance here. The rent assistance waiting list opens intermittently and fills up quickly, so if you can’t be added the first time you reach out, ask when the list will reopen and follow up then.
Community Action of Washington County: Families with incomes below 50% of the area median income ($56,400 for a family of four) with a non-payment notice from their landlord can apply for emergency rent assistance through Community Action. They screen for applicants twice a month: starting at 9:00 am by phone (call 503-615-0770) on the 8th of the month and 6:00 pm online on the 15th of the month (unless those days fall on a weekend, in which case applications open the following Monday). Spots fill up fast so we recommend calling/applying as soon as applications open.
