A True Labor of Love

Since 1997, Labor’s Community Service Agency has partnered with more than one hundred unions, labor councils, and the United Way of the Columbia-Willamette to host our annual holiday program: Presents from Partners (PFP).

PFP is a true labor of love, powered by dedicated volunteers from across the union community and our allies while working together to bring holiday joy and relief to union families facing hardship.

Toy Drive COMPETITION

Each year, unions and training centers join forces in a unionwide toy drive to help stock the gifts we deliver. This effort is more than just collecting toys, it’s a fun and spirited competition, with locals vying for the honor of “Most Toys Collected for PFP.”

We have prepared a toy registry based on what parents requested for their kids in the past three years - check it out here if you would like guidance!

DeliverING SOLIDARITY & CHEER

Presents from Partners is a referral-based program, with members referred through their union. On one special Saturday in December, participating families receive a holiday package delivered right to their door, which includes:

  • Personalized gifts selected for each child based on their age and interests

  • Gift cards for additional holiday needs, generously donated by local unions & allies of labor

  • A box of nonperishable foods to help stock the pantry

Volunteers are the heart of Presents from Partners!

Between Thanksgiving and Christmas, LCSA staff and volunteers spend several days per week dedicated to all the tasks necessary to brighten the families of hundreds of children in our community.

We would love your help sorting donated toys, printing family wishlists & labels, selecting gifts, preparing food boxes, hauling & staging bags for delivery day, and delivering holiday cheer!

2026 Information

This year’s Presents from Partners is underway! Our team, in collaboration with unions, training centers, and community allies, is working hard to finalize details and ensure that hundreds of families will have the support they need this holiday season.

  • Appeal Letter– Learn how your support impacts union families. Coming to your mailbox at end of September 2026.

  • Ways to Support – Financial donations, toy drives, food drives, teen & family gift cards, or volunteer opportunities.

  • Delivery Event Date – Saturday, December 12, 2026

  • Referrals Open - Coming to Referring Agents in email in October.

  • Referral Cutoff Date – Wednesday, November 25, 2026

  • Volunteers most needed between November 12 - December 12!

  • Location - This year’s event will be held at a location to be determined.

  • Toy Drive – Gather toys and gifts for union siblings in need. The group who gathers the most toys wins the trophy!
