Every year, as part of our annual Presents From Partners program, we hold a unionwide toy drive competition to prepare to support union families experiencing hardship through the holiday season.

2024 Toy Drive information:

This year’s toy drive is underway! If your organization is signed up to participate in this year’s toy drive, here are some key dates & instructions to refer back to:

  • October 18th: Deadline to sign up for the toy drive competition

  • December 1st: Last day to collect toys

  • December 2nd: Day to drop off toys (participants receive drop-off address & info privately)

    • If your group needs assistance bringing donations to our location, please reach out in case we can help

  • All toys need to be properly packed in order to count toward the competition!

    • Put into 32-45 gallon plastic bags

    • Each plastic bag full and closed with a twist tie

    • Each bag labeled with your union name

  • Please DO take pictures throughout the collection process! If you post them to social media, use hashtag #pfp24 so we can find them easily, or email them to presents @ lcsanorthwest . org

  • Check out this registry for toy ideas and counts based on past years’ participant requests: https://sokindregistry.org/registry/pfp

Toy drive results:

In 2023, ILWU Local 8 was crowned the toy drive champion and was presented with a trophy to keep for the year. Operating Engineers 701 snagged second place and third was tied between LiUNA 737 and Ironworkers 29.
